Summary: This book is a great book about a boy name Alexander who
wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and everything goes wrong at home and at
school. At the end of the day, Alexander realizes that sometimes people just
have bad days.
Personal Statement: This is
hands down one of my favorite books to read because the story line is just phenomenal.
Everyone has had a bad day including myself, therefore this is a very relatable
book! This book definitely fits the realistic fiction genre because people do have
bad days, which is what this book is trying to get at to the readers. Overall,
this is a great book that I think every teacher should have in their classroom
collection!

Hi Ricardo!
ReplyDeleteI remember Dr. Blamey reading this to our class before and I also loved it because it can be used in many ways. Such as making connections to the students if they have had also encountered a bad day before like Alexander. I also agree that it is a great book and that every teacher should have it in their classroom collection!

Good example of realistic fiction. We've all had a bad day and wish we could go back and relive it.Did you see the movie with Ed Helms?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I did not. That will be added to my to do list!
